Mise en Place

Everything in its place before service. A bet cannot be fired until it says how it settles — or says plainly what is missing from the rule.

Write it so a stranger could settle the bet without asking either of you. Leave it empty only if you genuinely cannot, and then say why below.

Required when the line above is empty. The bet is still struck — it is just marked as one nobody could settle as written, which is a fact about it rather than a reason to refuse it.

The day it was struck. Today, unless you are entering one from a while back. Clear it if nobody ever wrote the date down.

Leave empty if you never agreed one. The book will say so.

Sets the travel radius. Three stars means getting on a plane.

Leave it unticked if the stake is a proposal. The book will show it as proposed rather than settled, everywhere it appears.

Bets are denominated in dinners. build w15-a-card-worth-pasting-3f70c2
